This was my second attempt at the time lapse because someone turned a lamp on in the room in the morning. The reflection off the glass made it unusable. Oh well.

This spring I was asked to film a pilot project with my 7D. The basis was about 4 television hosts working in the city so I was asked to gather busy Toronto footage for b-roll. This still timelapse taken with the Canon 7D. 1 frame every 5 seconds. Reason for shooting stills rather than straight video was to give me a higher resolution timelapse in order to give me more flexibilty in post to accomplish deeper pans and zooms. I’ll be posting much more from that pilot and hopefully soon, the pilot intro itself.

This little test was done almost a year ago when I asked a friend of mine to borrow his 5D Mk2. This was when the camera just started to gain all of the attention for having an unbelievable hd image. Just for fun I asked my brother to put together one of my favorite recipes and put the camera to the test. I have to say my favorite thing about using the 5D was the the ability to grab a narrower depth of field or a beautiful wide shot with just a simple switch of the lens.
